<part>Ann as: Guy Maddin's Mother</part>
<date>Buffalo Gal Pictures / 2007</date>
<director>Directed by: Guy Maddin</director>
<costar>Darcy Fehr</costar>
<synopsis><span class="annquote">“Guy Maddin is the best director I ever worked with. A kind and generous man. He doesn’t wanna hear this because he wants everyone to think he’s a weirdo. He’s the real deal–a damn good director, and a gentleman… which is even harder to find than a good director.”</span></synopsis>
<synopsis>Ann hadn’t heard of Guy when he first approached her. <span class="annquote">“I had turned down almost everything I got offered for the last 50 years, crazy grannies, slasher movies, even a piss-poor remake of Detour!"</span></synopsis>
<synopsis><span class="annquote">“I can’t say I understand what every Guy Maddin movie is about, but each one has a style that is unmistakable. He sent me a DVD of his beautiful version of Dracula and some early script pages. I loved the dialogue–it was sharp and hilarious. ‘Was it the boy on the track team or the man with the tire iron…’ I couldn’t wait to meet him and get on the set. I hadn’t felt this way about a project since Detour. The movie turned out better than I dreamed. I’m glad he let himself show his humor and some of his great heart.”</span></synopsis>
