<date>PRC / 1946</date>
 <director>Directed by: Sam Newfield</director>
 <costar>Robert Lowery</costar>
<synopsis><span class="synital">The Lady Chaser</span> was Ann’s third noir thriller for PRC. Rarely revived, it’s fast paced with some great bad-girl dialogue and Ann’s most expensive femme fatale wardrobe. <span class="annquote">“This time I got a fur out of them!”</span> Ann plays a sexy blackmailer. <span class="annquote">“I had to dress pretty sharp for the audience to believe I could extort so much money from a rich lawyer.”</span></synopsis>

<synopsis>Co-starring Robert Lowery, who Ann also worked with in 1947 on <span class="synital">Jungle Flight</span>, this was her last film for PRC. <span class="annquote">“PRC was NOT a ‘poverty row’ operation. They spent good money on actors, hair, make-up, wardrobe, an excellent camera department, same with music, publicity was first rate–the best still photographers... They were smart–put money into making the picture and the actors look good, then shot on a tight schedule."</span></synopsis>

<synopsis>Ann was impressed with Leon Fromkess, who ran PRC. <span class="annquote">“He took good care of actors. Tom Neal made many pictures there. Fromkess offered me a five year deal, but I was making more money as a freelancer.”</span> </synopsis>

<synopsis>The director, Sam Newfield, made over 300 features in his career. <span class="annquote">“He was the brother of producer Sigmund Neufeld who ran a unit at PRC. He was embarrassed by how many movies he made and put different names on them: Sherman Scott, Peter Stewart, Sam Newfeld. He was a good man and gave so many jobs to actors.”</span></synopsis>
